JOE POD

Joe (Pods) is happiest when playing music and with his son. Joe will always go for the joke even in the most serious situations. He first picked up a guitar in his freshman year in College after being turned on to the Grateful Dead. Pods is known for his love of sarcasm, rhythm and chord colors- a consummate support player. Joe is a jam player at heart who loves to run a solo section into uncharted territory and unknown resolutions. Guitar influences are far too many to list, every blues player from Robert Johnson to Johnny Winter and everyone in between. Jerry Garcia, Jimmy Hendrix, Carlos Santana, Jimmy Page, Rocky Lawrence and Randy Rhoads just to name a few.

Joe has been entertaining the Tri-State area for the last 20 years with Rocky Lawrence and Sonny Jr, Cats in the Hat, On the Level, Psalms 150, Carnival Dogs, Wasco 5.0, Madhat and Freeplay. He has shared the stage with late blues great Johnny Copeland and had the honor of putting legendary bluesman Hubert Sumlin up in his apartment.
